Amber Corey

The urge to create has been with me since childhood. In high school, I began painting and have enjoyed exploring various mediums ever since. The joy of creating art led me to pursue a Fine Arts degree at the University of Mary Washington.

I reside in Atlanta, Georgia, with my husband and two children, Vivian and Oliver. After taking a hiatus from painting to focus on raising our children, I recently rediscovered my passion and again picked up my paintbrushes.

Drawing inspiration from frequent trips to the Georgia coast and its stunning landscapes, my color palette now reflects calming greens and blues. Nature serves as my primary muse, driving me to capture the inherent beauty found in everything from expansive landscapes to delicate floral scenes. In recent years, birds have taken on a central role in my work.

I'm drawn to their graceful presence, intricate patterns, and symbolic connection to freedom. Each bird I paint is both a study in natural detail and a quiet narrative, often set against Delft-inspired backgrounds that reflect my love for traditional patterns and timeless design.

Through my work, I strive to evoke a sense of serenity and peace-inviting viewers to slow down and reconnect with the quiet beauty of the natural world.
